The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers team is confident they will end their season on a high this weekend.
In what marks the first season of a professional women’s league in South African cricket, Jané Winster and her team will take on the Knights at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn this weekend.
The Badgers had a fairly successful season, although they felt they missed out on the T20 title after two defeats and a clinical finish in both the Limited Over and T20 matches. These will be their desired objectives.
The Badgers will be without their international star, Tazmin Brits, who is with the Proteas on national duty against Sri Lanka. However, this doesn’t dampen spirits as the Badgers believe they have enough firepower to overcome the visitors from Bloemfontein, The Knights.
The Limited Over match will be played on Saturday, 13th April 2024, followed by the T20 encounter on Sunday 14th.
